Just finished this book-I didn't like all the stories but some were so good it made up for the ones I didn't like-All in all its still a good read and I would recommend this book.

Unfortunately a few the stories did dip into women hating. On the other hand, some of the tales were awesome. Jeffrey Deaver's story that ends it is great, I loved it, and that was the smart way to end the book/5(55). The title of the book being Dangerous Women, one would expect the theme of the collection to be dangerous women, but that is far from the case.
Many of the stories (and the longer ones, to boot) are extremely male-centric and the female characters are minor decorations used to add depth to the men at the heart of the story. A dangerous woman is the fictional story of 32yr old Martha Horgan, a woman with mental disability which lends itself to social awkwardness.
The book opens with an uncomfortable scene from Martha's adolescence which stems from her inability to see that not everyone is honest (like she is- to a fault) or has her best intentions in mind/5(). Some written in the spirit of ancient legends, others very much owing their heritage to modern popular culture, these women range from seductive to murderous to superbly manipulative.

While I was rather bothered that some stories seemed to either lack a dangerous women or one seemed to be placed in the story so that it might apply better to the title, the book as a whole is great, the different authors and styles offered a variety of perspective on what makes women dangerous.
